If you could chose one person to read your book, who would it be and why?
anyone dead or alive, famous or not.
I would chose J.K Rowling, because she is the reason i started to read books, and most of the reason i started to write{which is the best thing that has happened to me besides my family of course} I love how she builds characters, she has a few mistakes in her work as far as tiny flaws in the story like details from book to book. but i still love them, and the way she was a first time author that made it.
It would be a dream come true if she would read over my work and pick it apart, giving me those little details that takes a book from nothing to something...
If i had a close relative that had passed away, maybe i would have chosen them. but thank the lord the are all still kick-en...

I can't say I would choose Rowling. I admire her work too much, so I wouldn't want her to be disappointed in my work. Whoever it was, I'd want my stuff to be as polished as possible, so that some time could be spend LIKING what I wrote, and not just picking it apart.
ReplyDeleteI guess I want an editor to read my work, like it, give me some things to tweak on it, and then publish it. Maybe in 20 years or so, I could bear the embarrassment of having Rowling look at it (but I'm not even sure about that).
Sharon Lee and Steve Miller. When I read their work, I'm confident we read the same authors. Of course, they might think I'm a complete hack. Hard to be objective about oneself.
ReplyDeleteI am not even close to writing a book but I would like it if my husband would read any of my work. He doesn't care much about it and I wish he did.
