What will you do...

What will you do, or have done, if you get published by a true publisher that pays you not you pay them?

What will be your celebration, or what was your celebration.

Will you read your first copy, or just put in your book case with pride?

How many copies are you going to buy/or did buy?

Thx for your time and any responce you might leave...

  1. I don't really think about. I'm more interested in what I'll write next. The publishing is mostly a moot point for me.

  2. Well, Jeff, as you know my book was released a few weeks ago (earlier than anticipated!)

But because the expected release was supposed to be later, I'm having the launch party & celebration tonight (a little after the fact, but what the heck....)

So, I am looking forward to a good turn out, I am excited about friends and colleagues (and maybe - hopefully - some media) coming to the bash!

As for the book & reading: My publisher gave me a copy the day the got "Blood and Groom" from the printer. I read it just like I'd read any other book. I laughed, especially at little bits & one-liners I had forgotten* about.

    Cheers, Jill
*I finished the book in its entirety in AUgust 2008... so it has been done done done for ages, but publishers have their own way of doing things - meaning release dates - so it's been a while since I've looked at my baby!

  3. My brother-in-law had a book signing on the grand opening date, and then went out to a movie and partied all night.

I'm honestly not sure what I will do. Cry? (I cry whenever I can--clears out the sinuses.)

I know I'll keep writing, even if that day never comes.
