You don't want to write a 150,000 word novel for a genre that averages only 50,000 words.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03209949145997932361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7079424739175991097.post-61089887456953466222010-04-29T07:06:10.054-07:002010-04-29T07:06:10.054-07:00I agree!I agree!ZM_Dreamerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10597679206362292524noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7079424739175991097.post-41011896661079311392010-04-28T15:51:37.089-07:002010-04-28T15:51:37.089-07:00My advice for someone just starting who wants to b...My advice for someone just starting who wants to be a good author?

Tell the story. Don't think you have to do it a certain way, write every day, write in spurts, edit as you go, edit afterward, take advice, ignore advice, etc. etc.

Tell the story however it works best for you, keep writing honing and writing until the story is the way you want it. That might mean stopping in the middle and starting over, that might mean writing right through in the heat of it. That might mean adding it in bits and pieces over months or years.

Don't settle for less than the story as you want it.

Now, if you want to be, first and foremost, a published author, the advice might be different. It's not the same.Stephanie Barrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17772217449161603561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7079424739175991097.post-10579952123474646182010-04-28T04:58:30.192-07:002010-04-28T04:58:30.192-07:00Right on!!!
