I think that you should test it out. That really is the only way to know. And if you find that its not appealing to as many people as you would like, due to a specific subject matter, decide how much what you are willing to change what you write to suit your potential audience. Good luck!Franniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02004149435514550325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7079424739175991097.post-70136740249295314962010-09-09T20:11:10.010-07:002010-09-09T20:11:10.010-07:00Jeff--Enjoying what your doing is important. How many people have written a 75,000 word novel? I think self doubt is a normal part of the process. I have a friend who has 8 novels that have made top selling lists who still worries everytime she submits a new ms to her agent...

So your novel is complete...What is next? Do you have a critique group or found a Beta reader? Have you written a synopsis? Worked on a query? Researched who you might send it to? There is a lot to getting it published...If you love it, and you want to share it with the world...you'll have to put it out there...

Best wishes!Sharon K. I write because I have to.

And, because I have a day job, I write what I want to write and only that. that way, even if no one else likes it, I do. I like blog posts, journal entries and articles as well as poetry. I really enjoy creating a poem but my self doubt keeps me from doing a lot of things including sharing my poetry. It has kept me in a job that I don't like and practically paralyzed me the last few years. Stop doubting yourself. There are a lot of books out there that have a very specific target audience. There are a lot of readers out there so keep it up!sundcarriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00866482585240648400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7079424739175991097.post-13383081256186912082010-09-04T07:34:41.302-07:002010-09-04T07:34:41.302-07:00Who cares if anyone else likes it?
Sorry, I know...Who cares if anyone else likes it?

Sorry, I know that doesn't help, but fear of what others will think gets me SOOOO down. Like I'm in a beauty contest, and if my novel isn't "pretty" enough, I don't make it to the next round.

You will be judged, but in the end, if YOU are happy with your own book, then you will be happy. My goal? To write a book that I enjoy reading more than my favorite books. In other words, I am writing, essentially, to please myself.

I'm in process of writing a poem for you (and me, and so many of my other fellow writers)... check it out later today.Dr. Cheryl Carvajalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15323455180953109460noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7079424739175991097.post-36896099662363735102010-09-03T22:37:59.524-07:002010-09-03T22:37:59.524-07:00Jeff...I wrote a huge comment...then it disappeare...Jeff...I wrote a huge comment...then it disappeared...I'll ceck back later to see if it showed up.
